Information and Communication Technology/Computer Science

At Westbourne School we recognise that proficiency in ICT/Computer Science is an essential part of 21st century living. In this increasingly technological age, a study of Information and Communication Technology and particularly how computers are used in the solution of a variety of problems, is not only valuable to students, but also essential for their future career.  Our vision is that all pupils should be confident and competent users of ICT having the ability to become critical and effective users of ICT/Computer Science, capable of using ICT/Computer Science as a tool to solve problems.Our ICT/Computer Science Department seeks to make pupils responsible users of ICT/Computer Science and other related technologies through the use of our three dedicated ICT Suites, Apple MAC Media Room with the latest video editing software, a bank of over 40 laptops and High Speed Internet and Wireless network with increased bandwidth.
