On Friday 26th January Year 4 were transported back in time to Sheffield during World War II.
During this memorable day they survived the blitz, were evacuated and endured rationing.
They discovered that one of the most important jobs was to be a ‘listener’. So, they enthusiastically learnt many German phrases!
“Can I send an SOS in Morse code!” commented an enthusiastic boy.
Also, the children courageously faced challenges and dilemmas typical of a family trying to survive as the war progressed.
They even entertained local factory workers with an enthusiastic rendition of ‘Run, Rabbit, Run!
