Forget Adrian Mole…meet Evan Goldman, another young man facing all the minefield of growing up in the modern world.
Evan is the star of 13, the acclaimed musical about a Jewish boy grappling with his parents’ divorce, a move to small town and a new school and his impending Bar Mitzvah.
13 was the only Broadway musical ever with a cast and band entirely made of teenagers.
And now the show is coming to Sheffield in a premiere production for the city by the young actors, musicians and singers of city independent school Westbourne.
The production, which runs at the Montgomery Theatre in Sheffield city centre on March 21 and 22 is the latest in a long line of acclaimed musicals including Grease, Oliver, Bugsy Malone, The Wizard of Oz and Little Shop of Horrors.
Tickets for 13 The Musical are available now from www.themontgomery.org.uk
