U14 Hockey win v Silverdale
On Tuesday 24th October the U14 Girls played and won against Silverdale School. As we have a small number of girls in Year 9, our team included Year 7- Year 9 girls, making our win against such a big school all the more impressive.
The girls were extremely motivated at the start of the game and they demonstrated this throughout the game through accurate passing and strong defensive skills. Trixie Morrison-Parry had a fantastic start to the game. Her dribbling skills were impressive and she scored the first goal for Westbourne after just 5 minutes of play. The girls continued to play as a team and we were 3-0 up at half time. Lily Lidster continued to display excellent tackling skills in defence and this enabled us to have the majority of possession throughout the whole game. Our final goal was scored by Sasha Dravairaj who consistently demonstrated determination to win the ball. A massive well done to all the girls who played in this fixture.
