On Friday 12th January, Year 5 visited the Synagogue on Psalter Lane Sheffield as part of their Religious education. As a non-denominational school, we believe that it is important for all of our children to learn about world religions. This was a very interesting tour which explained in detail how Jewish people worship.
We had a wonderful visit and we learned about the special parts of the synagogue and Judaism. Some of the boys got to try on the Tallis and the Kippah (skull cap) and we got the opportunity to look at the Torah in the Ark. We learned lots of interesting facts and we listened really well to Mrs Bergman.
