A timeless and truly wild natural environment where mountains rise majestically from the intricate coves and bays of sheltered sea lochs. Ridgway in Ardmore N W Scotland, is where 23 Year 8 & 9 pupils enjoyed a week of mountain climbing, learning survival skills and building their self-reliance and respect for themselves, others and the environment. They were able to climb in the mountains, sea kayak amongst seals and nesting sea birds, rock climb on ancient crags, survive on uninhabited islands, lift creels from the depths and far more. After a night out surviving in the wilds they were able to reflect and build on the skills they had learned as they look ahead to the new school year.
