On July 12th MAPS Book Group held their annual picnic to celebrate the end of another successful year of reading! This year has seen the group almost double in size and students have pushed themselves to read even more challenging texts.  Novels have included The Universe Versus Alex Woods by local author Gavin Extense, Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes, The Secret History by Donna Tartt and most recently, Decline and Fall by Evelyn Waugh.  The group's summer holiday challenge is to read Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy; at 848 pages long it should certainly keep the students busy over the summer break!
